Minerals are having a moment. And in many ways, I love that.

But I'm also watching them get pulled into the same fragmented model so many of us were trying to escape — how much magnesium do I need, should I take copper, which cell salt is right for me — until something that's inherently relational becomes fourteen bottles on the counter and another complicated protocol to manage.

In this episode, I want to zoom back out.

Because no mineral works alone. And once you really understand that, it changes everything about how you approach mineral balancing, HTMA, and what your body has actually been doing all along.

This episode is also personal. I just got my 48th hair test back after almost twelve years of running HTMA on myself — and every retest gives me another opportunity to ask the question that has become far more interesting to me than chasing perfect numbers:

What does this version of me need now?

In this episode I cover:

— What mineral ecology actually means and why it gives you permission to stop micromanaging every mineral
 — Why having minerals coming in isn't the same as being able to build with them
 — The full supply → absorption → transport → cellular use → storage → losses → demand framework and why it matters
 — Why potassium is never really just a potassium question
 — How your biography becomes your biology — and why that's actually hopeful, not discouraging
 — The difference between adaptation and compensation, and what that looks like on an HTMA
 — Why the goal isn't a perfect test — it's greater capacity
 — What working with mineral ecology actually looks like in practice

I also share a personal update: beginning in September I'm adding an eight-month Minerals & Microbes container alongside my existing four-month program — because bio-individuality applies to the timeline too.
